This week I’ve found a great interactive tool from www.realestate.com.au that allows you to search the suburb you want to buy in, for the cheaper pockets of property. Obviously, a house needs to be on the market in one of these areas for you to buy it, however, I love data, and this is really helpful!
Housing experts are expecting an influx of homes to be built explicitly for the renter market over the next 5 years – hopefully, this means great properties and not just budget solutions for this growing segment.
Scare articles are surfacing around a risk of a housing market collapse driven (according to this article) by Mum & Dad investors, inflated prices, record household debt and an economy that appears to be losing momentum. It’s worth a read if you are looking at buying or selling property, however, please ensure you get your own financial advice.
