In this weeks’ Australian property news, some great stats have just been released showing that first home-buyers have risen to the highest level in four years. For all the talk on avocado toast, and the bank of Mum & Dad, this is the first indicator we’ve seen of growth in this critical sector of the market. Let’s hope it continues.
Also on the rise are house prices in Geelong. An influx of residents and interstate investors are pushing house prices up.
This week we also take a look at some interior design trends in the lead up to Summer – apparently, Scandi is on the way out!; we take a peek into Merrick Watts warehouse conversion of an old lolly factory; what’s a week without a story on The Block (well for another week that is – next week we’ll round up the auction results); and talking of auctions, Melbourne is looking like having a blockbuster end to the month with over 1600 homes set to go under the hammer.
Lots on! Hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather, and good luck for all heading out to the auctions this weekend.
Enjoy!
Leanne
