Welcome to this weeks edition of This Week In Australian Property.
In this weeks property news, the big question of whether you should buy or rent is explored. REIWA and Curtin University have released an index that helps to identify the annual house price growth rate required for home ownership to be financially better than renting. This will be released quarterly.
If you’ve been following the property prices around Australia over the last year, you will know that Hobart has been consistently rising and is, in fact, the fastest growing property market.
For those about to buy a property, our guest blogger this week is Gerard Healy from Titlexchange. He talks about caveats, covenants, easements and other potential restrictions that you should understand before bidding on, or buying a home. A good read!
The RBA has again held interest rates for the fourteenth consecutive month, however, there is speculation this will change in 2018.
What would a week be without The Block reveal, albeit a day late this week with the NRL grand final? This week was the guest bedrooms – what did you think?
And lastly for those of you renovating I’ve included an article on common mistakes made – worth a read before you get started.
Have a great week.
Enjoy!
Leanne
