This Week In Australian Property #18
Bula! Hope everyone had a great Easter! We’re spending it in Fiji, where I’m currently writing your newsletter this week. I think maybe I’ll buy myself a Bure here and never come back!
So, apparently the ‘typical’ Australian is a 38 year old woman (sorry guys!) who is married with two children and lives in a three-bedroom house with two cars. They are also more likely to have a mortgaged house vs. own one which is a big change from 2006.
The controversy continues this week about how affordable it is to buy a home now vs. ours or our parents generation; house prices are influencing decisions on where young families will live; rent-to-own schemes have been in the spotlight; and we look at the latest shortlist for the 2017 Interior Design Awards.
Results for the Easter weekend were not unexpected with a low number of houses being auctioned and a steady clearance rate.
